Property Manager - The Old Monk of Nainital™
The Old Monk of Nainital is Dr. Rohan Bedi (aka “Cowboy Jack” or “Singapore Wale”) who is the property manager for his own property investments. He is the properties Chef and has his own Cookbook. He personally guides the Caretakers on the food. Rohan has lived in Singapore for two decades and has very international tastes.

Rohan hails from an old Sikh family who are direct descendants of Guru Nanak and were Jagirdars in the Sikh Empire of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji. He purchased the land for this cottage back in 2020. He is a former banker with JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch Singapore and is from New Delhi where he grew up. He is a BA (Hons) in Economics graduate from St. Stephens college, Delhi. Rohan is a student and author on religion, novelist, trainer in anti-financial crime, and a commentator on geopolitics, national security and social cohesion (see book).
Rohan has travelled extensively all over the world and the cottage’s eclectic furnishings reflect this. No cost has been spared in the furnishings and fittings. These are tasteful and ‘Maharaja’ in style with the character of a 1950’s British country manor. He has diligently collected traditional oil paintings carried back from Nepal. In addition, a few of his own artworks are on display.
Rohan believes in the equality of man, kindness, friendship, and mutual respect as the basis of all relationships. Guests must display respect to the two Caretakers to make their stay fruitful and enjoyable.
